Luke designed the transition whip to be a transition between the dressage whip and the carriage whip, as it is halfway between the length of these two. It has similar flexibility to the carriage whip but has a slightly shorter shaft and lash.

Weighing only 5 ounces, and measuring 52" long, with a 4" lash, this whip is very lightweight and is excellent for in hand work, beginning sending exercises, and working at a distance, as well as for kids, minis, or smaller horses.
